'The Hire' la exitosa serie de BMW
'The Hire' es una serie de 8 cortos de acción, realizados en dos temporadas para la marca BMW entre el 2001 y el 2002, para ello se creó la productora BMW Films capitaneada por el mismísimo David Fincher, que consiguió reunir unos cuantos reputados directores de cine para dirigir cada corto: Ang Lee, Wonk Kar-Wai, John Frankenheimer, Alejandro González Iñárritu, John Woo, Joe Carnahan, Tony Scott y Guy Ritchie, y un puñado de caras conocidas para protagonizarlos, en el que destaca Clive Owen como The Driver, personaje misterioso que aparece en todos los cortos, Forest Whitaker, Gary Oldman, Ray Liotta, Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Mickey Rouke o Don Cheadle entre otros.Los cortos tuvieron mucho éxito en internet, tanto que se editaron en DVD para facilitar su distribución.
Pues bien, después de este pequeño repaso os comunico que se pueden ver de nuevo en internet gracias a Numero f que ha sido el que los ha recopilado para el disfrute de todos en Dailymotion y en Google video.

- 'Hostage' (John Woo) con Maury Chaykin y Kathryn Morris.
- 'Ticker' (Joe Carnahan) con Don Cheadle y F. Murray Abraham.
- 'Beat the Devil' (Tony Scott) con James Brown, Danny Trejo, Gary Oldman y Marilyn Manson.

Había visto sólo el de Guy Ritchie. Muy bien, prefiero este tipo de publicidad al de los anuncios en plan "vas a ser feliz con este coche"

Jordim, sí, el de Guy Ritchie yo también lo había visto en YouTube. La verdad es que BMW es el rey del spot, casi todos me gustan y esta inicitiva ha sido muy acertada.

Sí, el de Madonna es el más conocido e incluso el más divertido, el de Alejandro González Iñárritu parece una película realmente, el baile de coches de Ang Lee es sensacional y el de Tony Scott todo un homenaje a James Brown, aunque a mi me ha gustado mucho ver a la locaza perdida de Gary Oldman XDD
La verdad es que están geniales.
Y se me olvidaba, un placer enooorme ver a Clive Morbourbanita Owen al volante de protagonista en todos ellos :P

Me gustan todos, son un buen abanico.
Me hace particular "gracia" el de Beat the devil. El pobre de Brown negociando y mira donde está ahora :P
Noa, tuve la suerte de descubrir estos cortos hace un tiempo y la iniciativa me pareció excelente, que bueno que nos adviertas que están disponibles de nuevo ya que la BMW los sacó de circulación hace un tiempo.
Para mi el mejor con mucha diferencia es el de Wong Kar-wai, la interpretación de todos, con un Whitaker extraordinario, una poesía visual impecable y una versión de "Unicornio Azul" sublime hace de éste corto una auténtica joya.
Me gustan también el de John Woo, el guión me parece excelente, el de Iñárritu también me gustó y el que menos el de Guy Ritchie, director que a mi entender desde Snatch se ha dedicado a hacer pura mierda, y mira que Lock, Stock y Snatch me encantan.

¿Cómo no podía yo conocer estos anuncios? no tenía ni idea, y más siendo que sale Clive, muchas gracias por hablarnos de ellos, ya mismo voy a verlos, pero ya ya. La verdad es que los anuncios de los BMW siempre suelen ser geniales y esta idea me parece estupenda, con estos grandísimos directores, que agudos son los directivos, desde luego.

Hola Noa, fijate que descubri estos cortos en youtube por casualidad,yo andaba buscando el corto "Mission Zero" con Uma thurman.Resulto que tambien encontre los de la BMW, de los cuales mi favorito es el de Madonna.
